As if the human misery caused by the nature in Kashmir (on both sides of the LoC) and the NWFP was not enough that the perpetrators of heinous crimes struck in Delhi turning the festive bazaars into morgues of the innocent buyers of gifts and goods for Diwali and Eid.

How can a human being cross all the limits of humanity to kill someone not even remotely concerned with, say, a political, a religious or a personal difference?

We in Pakistan condemn such barbaric act with the utmost condemnation that it deserves.

It is as obvious as daylight that it is the act of those who do not wish to see India and Pakistan make progress at a time when they are embarked upon the road to mutual peace, harmony and everlasting friendship.

President Musharraf has done well in not only condemning the bombings in the most severe terms but also in offering all necessary help, assistance and co-operation to investigate the bombings to punish the perpetrators in a befitting manner.

We would once again like to assure our Indian brothers and friends that Pakistan mourns with them the wanton killing of the innocents, depriving many a family of the happiness that Diwali and Eid would have brought to them.

May God rest the departed souls in Peace, ameen.
